AWCK’s team of engineers and architects, and the Surface 678 team of park planners developed the Mebane Community Park to serve as a focal point in the City of Mebane’s continued master planning and community development initiative. Spanning over 32 acres of continuous open area, the master planned park features high quality artificial turf athletic fields, a dog park, paved trails, playground, splashpad, an expansive lawn and multi-purpose pavilion, and features naturally occurring vegetation throughout. AWCK designers worked closely with adjoining property owners, the City Council, the Community Park Steering Committee, and the City Staff in transforming the area into an easily accessible and pedestrian friendly gateway to the City.
AWCK’s development teams consistently demonstrate their ability to understand the needs of a community and work the key stakeholders in melding environment with function while creating vibrant recreational spaces. (See related information)
